Artist Bio – Sarah Brabbin

Nature and wildlife sculptures are Sarah’s canvas. She has no desire to recreate anatomically correct, detailed sculptures of our natural world but creates  intuitively. Working the earth with her bare hands allows her to connect as closely as she can to nature. There is no screen between her and her chosen medium.

As a designer she loves working with unexpected colours and enjoys the alchemy which comes with ceramics.

She takes great joy from holding her creations in her hands. Feeling the shape wither her fingers whilst getting lost in how the colours swirl and mingle like another worldly atmosphere.

Throughout life’s ups and downs, Sarah has always found solace in the non-judgmental, unconditional love of animals. She spent her childhood being told she was too sensitive. Now, in her 40’s she is able to use her sensitivity in a deeply spiritual and emotional connection with the natural world around her. She sees shapes in the clouds, the joy in the birds, the pure beauty in nature and is thankful.
