Day 10 of the 30 day challenge
It’s day 10 and I’ve hurriedly created some earthenware clay samples for this week’s adventure to Hereford where I’ll be learning more about ceramics with Animal Artistry‘s Donna Chaney.
The oven is on at 80°C and I’m baking clay biscuits to make them dry faster ready for their journey down south. I also rattled off a chicken and a blackbird.
The glazes I ordered were supposed to have arrived for me to take with me but hadn’t due to delays, so I ordered some more to be delivered to Donnas for when I got there.
Whilst I was baking bits I worked some more on the big owl, who is stoneware, and as such needs a higher temperature to fire.
I’d popped in to see my mum and dad and they’d been in town. There’s a cheap book shop they like to visit sometimes and mum had found they had a 3 for 2 offer on, and there was only one book she wanted, but can’t resist a bargain… So out of ALL the books in the bookshop, they ended up buying two children’s books about owls, which of course I read out loud to them lol!
