Making of the critters

It makes me sad when people are scared to pick up my critter sculptures.

I promise they’re not fragile, and when people DO pick them up I love watching the surprise on their faces. Holding them to me feels like holding a snooker ball, but obviously a lot cuter.

I’ll get asked if they’re solid because they feel so reassuringly heavy, but they’re hollow to aid in drying and help prevent any trapped moisture creating explosions in the kiln when they’re fired.
