Morning Pages Then and Now

The morning pages are a new habit I’ve formed thanks to Julia Cameron. She suggests writing 3 pages in a morning of whatever’s in your mind – a brain dump – to get it out of your mind and onto paper. Some days it seems to flow and other days it’s like watching the paint dry trying to think of something to write.

Turns out, it’s something we were encouraged to do as kids too. I asked mum if she had any of my old artwork, thinking maybe GCSE or A Level stuff, but she found my 8 year old self’s “morning pages.” It’s so funny how these things happen.
