No Mow May

This month, Plantlife is urging the legions of gardeners to put the mowers away and let the grass grow to help the insects, and of course in turn – us!

At the end of the month they’re holding an “Every Flower Counts” nationwide survey to discover how many bees the UK’s lawns can feed.

I’ll be joining in their rewild all summer, #LetItBloomJune and #KneeHighJuly

Let’s hope not to hear the drone of lawnmowers and strimmers…and that people remember if they HAVE to strim or mow, that they check for wildlife first.
