Rook Giclée Fine Art Print
I always get excited when I see new visitors in the garden. Rooks are normally incredibly shy and suspicious and keep out of the gardens and stay in the fields and trees. I was, however, treated to a chance visit to the bird table where there was a single fat ball looking like it needed a home.
Using her sword-like beak she tapped into the fat ball for a little while, before picking the whole thing up and flying to my tree, where she posed briefly, just enough time to capture her image, before flying over the fence where she landed and gave the jackdaws the fat ball.
An altruistic action by an incredibly intelligent being who appreciates the value of the community and therefore the individuals in it. We could learn a lot from these wonderful souls.
Using my digital tablet and pen (hey, if it’s good enough for David Hockney it’s good enough for me!) allows me to get closer to the subject before even getting my hands on clay and creating sculptures from my encounters.
12″ x 12″ printed on Hahnemühle German Etching paper – a natural white, sustainably sourced, uncoated paper with a similar texture to Tintoretto Gesso. Acid-free and mould-made it’s ideal for Fine Art Prints and highly-detailed photography.
Hand-signed by me before being packaged inside a compostable wrapper and recyclable cardboard envelope for safe delivery.
