Puffin Migration to … Australia?

Remember the puffin I was having lots of fun making the other week? We were practicing take off and landing and enjoying ourselves far too much being a bit daft.

Well, yesterday at RSPB Bempton Cliffs he really did fly away! Just like his cousins, his time at Bempton was short but sweet.

But he didn’t fly over the cliffs, oh no, he’s been scooped up in the arms of his new family who were on their honeymoon! And he won’t need to flap very much as he’s being taken with them on a plane back to their home in Australia! How amazing is THAT?!?

It makes me stupidly happy when people give my work a home for a special reason, and know that wonderful memories will come flooding back whenever they look at it and touch it. I’m completely honoured.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Bon voyage little Puffin
