Sculpting animals at Ulley Country Park
The Northern Potters Association kindly organised a sculpture sharing day at Ulley Country Park where a few members got together to sculpt and share advice and techniques. Our studies for the day weren’t live, in fact they were a range of taxidermy animals and birds we borrowed.
I decided on a badger and made the first girl, then realising I had a little time left made a smaller one which I would later raku fire again with the NPA. The bigger girl, however, is sat in the studio because she’s too big for my kiln! Maths never was my strongest skill!
