Swinton Park Birds
A couple of weeks ago an advert for a photography day popped up on my Facebook feed. It was at Swinton Park Birds of Prey in North Yorkshire. Whilst I’m not a fan of group photography sessions, I knew it would be a great opportunity to get close to the birds in order to get some decent reference pics for my sculpting. So off I went!
The session was led by a professional photographer who had a keen eye for what he wanted the shots to look like. They’re not wild birds and as such I wasn’t bothered about their equipment being on the photos – it’s part of who they are – captive-bred and cared-for. I fell in love with every owl and came away with hundreds of reference photos and nearly as many insect bites lol
