The British Wildlife Centre Visit
I’ve been on the hunt for locations where I can get some reference photos of various British wildlife, and one place name kept popping up – the British Wildlife Centre. Problem was, it was all the way down in Surrey – a 4 hour drive for me. Well, I finally bit the bullet and went down south for the weekend. It was completely worth it.
I now have some reference photos for;
Fox, Pine Marten, Otter, Weasel, Stoat, Polecat, Scottish Wildcat and red squirrels. I’m obviously still missing a lot of species, but it was a great start and wonderful to be able to see them up close.
They even have an area for a badger clan who you can see in their underground sett. Watching them all huddled up and sleeping together was a beautiful sight and made me quite emotional.
